Lina Roberts, LCSW

Ms. Roberts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with experience providing clinical mental health treatment to adolescents, young adults, and their families. For the past 20 years Ms. Roberts has been working in outpatient clinics and providing inpatient therapy in a hospital setting. She primarily uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure and response therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy in family-based practices to address challenges that face the individual and their family.

Lina specializes in working with adolescents and young adult clients providing evidenced based therapy on a variety of issues including eating disorders, ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder), anxiety, depression, trauma, family communication, and life transitions. Her approach includes family-based treatment that engages the family in supporting positive change. Working with the individual and their family to provide a safe environment to identify strengths to help them navigate life challenges that create barriers to meeting their full potential. She is dedicated to engaging in building authentic relationships to provide client centered care.

Lina obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lipscomb University. She received her Masters in Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana focusing on children and adolescents and completed her clinical internship at Columbia/DePaul Psychiatric Hospital specializing in child and adolescent treatment. Ms. Roberts has worked with adolescents and young adults at Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for the past 17 years specializing in adolescent and young adult health.

Ms. Roberts was born and raised in Nashville Tennessee. She enjoys spending time with her 7 nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She enjoys traveling to the beach and going to see Broadway shows.
